There are some more recent studies with mice that are showing that ECT actually causes new brain cells to grow in the amgydula. HUM. Other studies show it causes damage to that area of the brain. I learned I now have a lesion to that area of the brain that wasn't there prior to ECT. I have olfactory seizures now.
