Definitely a quality of life issue. No neurological testing but I've seen neurologists at the centers they put substances on you tonue and as if sweet, salty, bitter, and the one I can't remember. And they have you try and smell things and a 24hour urine. And then say it's a virus that attacked your neurons in your nose. And take theophlline to stimulate the regrowth of the neurons didn't do that as it's such a stimulating med for people who can't breath. Google Robert Henkin of DC taste and smell clinic and the Wake Forrest guy left and opened his own clinic name Demitri Petroski. Love Phillipa ps the petrovski may have a v not sure I thing I will google taste and smell centers and see if they still have websites.
