> My husband and I just found out that he is bipolar and has a psych. appointment in 2 weeks for the diagnosis and to get proper meds started. It has been a tough year getting to this point but at least now there is hope. I just need as much advice I can get from all of you to help me thru this time and how to deal with his moods and anger periods. He had been on Lexapro and it was not helping plus weed and beer/alcohol. I am sure all that made the last year even harder for us both. The gen. doc now has him starting with Zyprexa 5 mg until the psych gives him another prescription. Please hit me with advice as I don't want our marriage to go down the tubes.

Your desire to have your marriage to stay intact is a bright star to follow to navigate around the tubes. That focus could help you IMO to stay on a safe course.
