Hi there! Thanks so much for your response. :)
Actually I am in between Psychiatrists at the moment with an upcoming appointment to see a new one on the 29th of this month. I can't wait! I have been waiting for a month and a half to get in to see someone.
The problem is where I live there are too many patients and not enough psychiatrists readily available to take new patients. Plus I know that many Psychiatrists only schedule so much time to devote to new patients as those appointments are more lengthy.
In regard to my drinking. Last night was the first time in at least two months I've had anything to drink. So it's not something I do often. But it is a crutch when I'm going through a particularly rough time, which I know is not a good thing. But I have no one to call or see and am kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I also need to get back into therapy as I feel that might help my occasional wanting of alcohol as I have many unresolved issues which need to be addressed. In a nutshell I have had a pretty tough life. Not as bad as some but worse than most and I need to get true closure on all of it.
Actually I think I'll make some call right now to get in to see a Therapist who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as I have some experience with that and feel it's the most productive type of therapy for me.
Thanks for your concern. It is greatly appreciated. You're always so kind to everyone. You're a beautiful soul and hope you realize that even through all of the rough times. :)
Love and hugs,
CA 2 NJ
