That's not actually Survector--the one you're thinking of is Stablon (tianeptine), which is the closest chemical relative to Survector (amineptine, but which has a different (presumed) mechanism of action. Survector, by contrast, is a powerful, selective, dopamine reuptake inhibitor--with some additional effects on the adrenergic system.

I'm not terribly negative on meds, but I don't think this is true. Your median study results (as it were) tends to show like 30% improvement on placebo, vs. 54% on an SSRI. Which is to say, they are usually only twenty or thirty percent above placebo, maybe less. But few large studies could purport to even show 'improvement' in 'most' participants, after adjusting for the placebo effect.
There are many new substances in various stages of the pipeline, but finding new antidepressants seems unfortunately to be difficult.

It actually does have some pro-sexual effect, at least in some people, but I might not be especially powerful, and it might not be safe to take with Nardil--it has some similarities to stimulants, and theoretically might cause a blood-pressure crisis. I've heard of it effecting heart-rate even without MAOIs. EMSAM/selegiline and Parnate are reputed to be less antisexual than Nardil--you might try switching...

I think Siberian Ginseng can work for some, and probably without effecting one's system so dramatically.
