Working on the Maoi puzzle

I think its great that the users of maois keep people informed of as much as possable,mainly because aside from exceptions the general public doesent seem to know or care much for them.But they for now are still our life line.

That said,i want to start by stating a major problem of being succesful with them.I believe a external plan is needed to help depression,i.e diet,activity in the day,stress inducers,and SLEEP CYCLE.These should be laid out like a blue print so a person can get some form of stability in there life,wake up,do etc etc,and so on,this to me is crucial and the exact opposite of being a maniac mess.

Maois are a double edged sword,on the plus they can allow you do these things,or want to,however they are notorious and dare i say confirmed to sooner or later cause insomnia.

Having a solid sleep/wake cycle can be so important,and on a maoi,even with a sleep aid,it seems you can never be sure on a consistent bed time.

What people migt not be thinking,possably,is if you dont get the correct or consisent,or any sleep,...you will be a different person in the morning.Your body did not restore as it normaly would,this is with or without meds.

How many people get that SECOND MORNING WIND,eyes light up,full of energy,then they feel as if there going crazy with ups and downs of energy through the day.


Now throw on that a dose of a very potent medication altering this stage even more,..its no wonder its so hard to create a solid system.

If i dident make it clear,the major points of my post were,be weary on your morning parnate dose if you did not sleep,logic tells you not to expect the same effect as you would if u slept,unfortunatly how to tweak or handle this is an individual thing,if u have a good doc perhaps they can help.

Second the parnate day time fatigue,i am going to just state my view knowing it cant apply to everyone.

Stop fighting it,i personaly found it will be usualy no more than an hour sleep,and if woken can be forced to be this,even forced the hour is usualy sufficient to hault the fatigue.

The BENIFIT of this for me is,my second and last dose of parnate is not taken with my body feeling like its been run over,so the second dose works MUCH better always if the nap is taken,if its not,i lower the second dose sometimes even skipping as all it will do is add more fatique.

That one hour not only stops the fatique,but also restores energy immensly.

I am considering to make this a permaneant thing where if i dont get some sleep time in i will not take a second dose,as it again simply does not offer a ad response but worsens my fatique.

Im in the process of getting a stubborn doc to raise my dose as im exceeding the 80 mg she is using,she wanted to cut me to 40,for no reason given,she is a mess,thank god for her assistant.

With his help hes using some pub med info,my pharmsicsts knowledgae of my intake,and parent as well to approach her with rasin the dose,it costs me a fortune and i alwas have to suffer my last week on an extreme low dose to even it all out which screws up everything.

My mercy lies in the hands of a signature,really frustrates me.

Anyway if i could have a say,id ask for the insomnia factor to be worked on,as well as lets make a 50 mg parnate tab,i mean each 10 mg tab has its own binders and fillers making it more inactive toxins in the body then a simple 50 mg tab would,then a 100 mg dose of two tabs wont sound so bad as 10 tabs or make u feel as if ur some druggie with all these pills around.
