My workup for M.S. last fall was from side effects of lamictal and seroquel. Luckily my workup was negative but my symptoms were falling, lack of coordiantion, memory difficulties, lots of cognitive deficits and some numbness in my arms/legs and weakness too. I wouldn't be surprised you have this from a new medication especially if it coincided with starting Ultram.
Both my pdoc and I (had no memory) missed the connection and I had the MRI ($2500) which was negative, along with a whle slew of blood tests which were also negative.
A costly workup for medication side effects, not to say quite scarey too since my sis-inlaw was just diagnosed w M.S. and I had more symptoms than she presented with.
