Why the eight week wait for all people???

Posted by Deniseuk190466 on April 16, 2007, at 11:13:00

From my experience I've always responded (if I'm going to respond properly at all) to antidepressants in at least 3 weeks or failing that I see sort of windows of not being depressed in the first 3 weeks. If I've been on an AD for three weeks and not felt any sort of improvement at that dose then the chances are I won't get an improvement later.

My question is are there any people on this board who have usually responded quickly to ADs and then found with another AD it suddenly kicks in after 6 or 8 weeks at the same dose as they've been taking it?

Thanks....Denise
