Tried Anafranil for at least six months; it not only didn't help my OCD, but made my depression worse. Also tried Luvox, but it gave me diarrhea (as did Inositol); that wouldn't be so bad, but I have ulcerative colitis, and have been hospitalized 9 times for flare-ups, which can last for months (I know it was the Luvox that caused the diarrhea, because I wasn't eating anything different, and hadn't had a flare-up in over four months, which is a long time for me).

I've been on psych meds for over 16 years (for depression, OCD, and acute social anxiety) and have been on social security disability for over 10 years. The only meds that stopped the depression were the combo of Wellbutrin and Remeron, but that made the OCD *much* worse. Adding Adderall to that combo neutralized the OCD, but made me so lethargic that I spent most of the time in bed.

Have also taken Prozac, Paxil, Paxil CR, Cymbalta, Klonopin, Metadate CD, and others whose names I can't recall (mental illness and/or all the meds have played havoc with my memory).
