In reply to Concerns regarding Nardil 'Euphoria', 'Hypomania', posted by nutjob on April 11, 2007, at 20:10:24
> I've read a number of posts in the archive where people report a kind of mania or euphoria as an intial response to Nardil. This really concerns me a great deal, as I am about to begin a trial of Nardil in an attempt to treat lifelong Generalized Social Anxiety. In the past I have had hypomanic reactions to high-dose prozac (60 mgs) and low-dose psychostimulants (10 mgs dextroamphetamine, 15 mgs methylphenidate). I have no desire to repeat such experiences. I don't want to be euphoric and wreckless--I only want to treat my anxiety disorder.

Does anyone else have any experience or input regarding this matter?

And as far as being wreckless, Nardil can definitely exacerbate it but IMO it's only a real concern if you have a tendency towards reckless behavior to begin with.
If you do, then I would defintely be concerned. But if you don't have those tendencies, I would still be hypervigilant just to be on the safe side, but wouldn't really worry about it.
