well, i do get anxiety/panic attacks. and i understand about the adrenaline.
personally i don't have an addiction to it. as soon as i find my mind has floated onto daydreaming about some awful emergency or whatever anxiety-producing thing, and the adrenaline starts to pour--i tend to catch myself. i stop in my tracks and start challenging what i am thinking. i self-talk in a soothing and rational way. basically i try to calm down.
i hate feeling jazzed on adrenaline but it happens before i know it, and then i have to back track and make it less harmful by using thinking techniques.
i recommend CBT for anxiety. it helps.
