I took this only ONE night for insomnia, and ended up throwing the bottle away. The sleepiness hit within about 10 minutes (I was up reading a book because I was expecting about an hour). My tongue felt so thick that I could hardly talk, and I could barely move my legs to get into bed. Now with that being said, I thought I had hit the jackpot and finally found a med that would allow me to sleep.
Well, the next thing I know, my nose closes completely up. I had to breathe through my mouth for about 5 hours (until my nose opened back up), and needless to say I didn't sleep during that time because my dry tongue kept sticking to my dry mouth!! And then the following day, I had a massive migraine that had me flat on my couch the entire day.
That happened maybe 3 years ago, and I've been thinking of giving Trazadone another try. It may have been the combination of meds that I was on at the time that caused my nose to close up (I can't remember what cycle of the lab rat routine I was in at that point!).
The following are the meds I'm on now. Do these have anything counterproductive to the nose closing (I guess it would be histamine, right?).
Effexor XR, clonazepam, and Lopressor SR (beta blocker).
Thanks for your help. I would LOVE to sleep.
God bless,
Sandy
