... and this is part of what was ignored in the initial presentation of CATIE (Clinical Antipsychotic Trials of Intervention Effectiveness).

Sure, old line drugs can be as effective as new atypical agents which have some of their own drawbacks but it doesn't take into account the human dignity aspect of the patient, such as EPS and the likelihood of TD, especially in the elderly and those with affective disorders.
