I have been taking Rivotril (Clonazepam/Klonopin) for a number of years now. I have noticed it doesn't take the edge off of anxiety like it used to, mind you I'm down from 4mg to 1mg. I asked my PDOC if I could try Xanax or Ativan and she said they are more addictive because they have a shorter half-life and one feels the need to take more to get that 'boost'. She said she may switch me to Valium as she feels that would be comparable to Rivotril and not as addictive.
