I am a smoker these days. I have one when I get up, instead of coffee. Which motivates me to get going. And two more throughout the day, when I either need a boost, or want to curb food cravings from meds. I guess it does have anti depressant qualities, but it is 10X more addictive than herion. Somehow I control 3/day though.
> My question is, does this drug have antidepressant effects for a depressed non-smoker? It seems logical since it stimulates the nicotinic receptors in the brain, which cause a dopamine release. I wonder if these drugs will be off-label or eventually approved for depression.
