I am Bipolar and take 300 mg of Seroquel (a recent switch from Zyprexa and seems to be working to control my major symptom that presents - rage), 100 mg of Lamictal, 1 mg of Rivotril (Clonazepam/Klonopin) and 10 mg of Lexapro. I have been suffering from depression for quite some time (I miss my mania, just feel flat but I know I do not want to be manic, but still...), no motivation, mild agoraphobia, just not wanting to go out into the world. I asked my PDOC to switch me to Wellbutrin but she decided to raise my dosage of Lexapro from 10 mg to 20 mg. It's the only SSRI that doesn't cause sexual side-effects but I have my suspicions that it is doing nothing for my depression. You know like when something like Zyprexa doesn't cause weight gain for some it's not likely working? That sort of thing. I'm interested to hear how others have found Lexapro as an anti-depressant. Did it work for you? What is your diagnosis and what dosage do you take, along with any other meds you might be on. TIA. I want to feel better TODAY!
