It is a fairly sedating medication.
Now with all said, it is a very good medication for treatment resistant depression, and at low doses is good for REM sleep. But one must monitor ones food intake and reduce their caloric intake as well by a bit due to the metabolic changes that Remeron may make. If you can keep the weight under control, its a good medication.
I don't take it currently but in a way, it acts like an atypical antipsychotic at higher doses without the dopamine blockade and EPS.
