Adderall making me tired?!?!

My psychiatrist thinks that I may have the non-hyperactive type of ADD.
I'm now taking 40 mg of Adderall XR and to my surprise, I found that it actually makes me tired!
I know adderall is a stimulant, and everyone who I know who is taking the drug has felt energized. However, I become exhausted and want to take a nap after taking the drug.
Has anyone ever heard of someone becoming extremely tired after taking Adderall?
