a depression; often alcohol is used, stress is
high, worries, etc. However, I *do* think that drugs can overpower these very real conditions of some peoples' lives. To take to extremes, if you put someone under anesthetic for an operation, it really doesn't matter what his social position is. And psychiatric drugs are very powerful. The only thing is that SSRIs may be just as jarring as other antidepressants, under certain conditions.Squiggles
