Hello
I just answered a post of yours below and asked if you could explain your background which you just did ! Oh well.
Anyway, well I think there really is such a thing as prozac withdrawal of course there is, if your brain is used to getting a certain chemical for 15 years, then its going to go into shock when it stops. That said, prozac is one of the better ones in terms of withdrawal effects because it has such a long half life.
I really think you need to just get into a routine with the celexa, ie take it everyday as prescribed for at least 4 weeks to see if its helping you. Then if not, taper off it. Stopping and starting it isn't a good idea.
Then if you feel its not doing anything you could try something else. I would try and stay away from antipsychotics -- they have some nasty side effects (including weight gain) and things.
Do you do therapy? It sounds as if it could help more than any drug could.
I don't know anything about candida, but perhaps you could see a nutritionist? I think they know about these sorts of things.
Kind regards
Meri
