In two weeks, I will have been on Emsam for eight weeks. He said if it hadn't kicked it by then, he would be willing to try something else. The only thing I have felt so far from my 6mg patch is a little extra energy, which is great for people with lethargic depression. However, everything I have begins with anxiety (generalized anxiety disorder).
I asked if I could try Nardil. and he said that is was "just as activating" as Emsam. I have read numerous posts on here how Nardil has helped people with anxiety (am I wrong?). Anyway, he said he would let me try it if the Emsam hasn't kicked in. Then I asked him how long after I stopped the patch, could I start Nardil? This doctor, who is considered one of the top researchers in the USA, said "the next day."
So here are my two questions ...
1. Is this doctor correct? It would be safe to take Nardil the day after stopping Emsam?
2. And am I right in thinking even though Nardil may be activating, it does help with GAD and panic? Thanks in advance for your reply, Michael
