Been on emsam 13 days now. I feel some benefit but it's limited. I can get up and out but still feel pretty crappy. Still anhedonic most of the day. I asked MD about lamictal since someone here seemed to do well with the combination but she said I have to give emsam more time.
Just wondering if people have had really good experiences with emsam at week 3 or 4 when it had minimal effect up until then. Want to give it adequate time if that's what it needs but also don't want to waste time, particularly when I'm in such a fragile, severely depressed state, if it's not the drug for me. Perhaps, I need to try a higher dose. Again, it's hard to know since I'm not sure it's hitting the right issues. Maybe I'm just negative about it because I'm depressed. Though it does seem that people who respond well respond fairly quickly.Any ideas/thoughts appreciated.
Did anyone else lose their ability to taste/enjoy food on this med?
