Thats a good way of putting it actually. I hadn't really thought to think about it like that. But I see the truth in it. Yeah, its a good analogy. Its pretty true - the really 'seriously' (isn't it all serious?) mentally ill are given sections, 'mental healthcare agreements', access to a NHS pdocs, etc etc, and are treated rather slightly derogratory, whilst the 'normally' mentally ill are told to put up with SSRIs and GPs.
Of course, all this is a vast generalisation, but still. I think there are some truths in it.
