Ambien + depression

Folks,
Does Ambien cause or exasperate depression? I took 20 m.g. Friday after a night out and have been sleepy and blue since. I'm worried I triggered something in my brain that lessened my energy and strength. (Indeed, I've been not only tired, but rather exhausted and weak as well.)
I'm worried and want to know - should Ambien clear out soon, and will I stop being so tired?
Otherwise why would I feel soooo fatigued? I took 400 m.g. of Provigil yesterday (and 200 m.g. today) but it's not helping.
