On 5mg and since starting it Ive had to get glasses, am so constipated that I need to take 2 different laxatives every few days just to go to the toilet once a week, muscle spasms that hurt quite a lot mainly in my stomach, totally impotent, memory problems .etc .etc I could go on and on. My Pdoc wont let me stop it but Im stopping it on my own now and I have lowered the dose to 2.5mg. I feel like crap though. Anyone know a good typical antipsychotic for paranoia as I have been on most of the typicals and I dont want to try clozapine.

I would say the same, why the typicals, unless you mistyped and said you've been through most of the atypicals. Clozaril I would agree is not the best solution but is a gold standard if you have extreme paranoia/schizophreniform conditions. Otherwise, a comparable dose would be a medium dose of Zyprexa/Seroquel or if you're concerned about lipids, Geodon, since if you've been on Haldol I imagine you don't have much problem with akathisia. There's also the old drug for paranoid depression, amoxapine, which is kind of like Symbyax but a bit more ancient. I know someone who uses Wellbutrin + Seroquel for paranoid depression.
Invega (paliperidone) is coming out, which is the extended release of Risperdal's metabolite, or you could just go cheaper with Risperdal, which at some dose crosses over and is frankly comparable to its chemical cousin Haldol.
But I would try Geodon first, or possibly Abilify.
