I don't think there's a problem in theory but in practice the tablets may not dissolve properly and the dose you get may vary even if you stir it well. My old psychiatric nurse told me of a guy who weaned himself off lorazepam by crushing the tablets up into a fine powder then dividing the powder into quarters using fine graph paper as a guide. I really don't know for sure which would be the most accurate, it depends on how well those particular tablets you have dissolve.
