How does a pdoc end up on a top pdoc list anyway? I'm just curious. Is it because statistically they have many more patients that get well compared to other pdocs? Is it because they attend a lot of seminars and conferences? Is it because they do research and writings? They try off-label strategies a lot? They've had extensive post-graduate training? They can improve the most complicated cases that other pdocs couldn't?
I guess the bottle line in my opinion is that if they have a majority of patients get well in a short time with few trials and errors, that would be a top pdoc in my mind. All the other stuff doesn't matter.
I wonder how they got on that list?
