Well, Seroquel does block dopamine lightly but it also does a good job at 5HT blockading, as does Remeron at high doses... a different way of fiddling with serotonin than SSRIs. Also if anything, the sheer antihistamine and sleep-inducing nature may also contribute to some anxiety quelling.
