Estrogen would be more likely to give you a feeling of energy and vitality. HRT helps many mood problems but there are risks as I'm sure you're aware. They seem to be small for natural progesterone taken alone though. Yes, high dose natural progesterone cream may be beneficial for anxiety and sleep, but I've read that synthetic progestins often cause anxiety.
