Combining drugs is a risk period.I personaly have found the maois to hold no added risk than i did while on ALL of the ssris i have been on.
Parnate can poteniate almost any drug,because the drug being now in your system longer due to maoi and a slowing of its break down,will and can be more potent,i find this true of sedatives strongly.
I dont recomend playing with maois unless you feel comfortable with the maoi alone,meaning been on it a fair amount of time.This said,my professional who im to rely on,and many like,cant even get the script written right without me helping,they write it for 20 mg when it only comes ina ten mg tab,i have seen more than a few who are CLUELESS on maois,CLUELESS beyone belief,so i dont recomend always relying on them,but one should take every precaution they can when combining any drugs,maois agreed more so.
