My experience with Desoxyn was mixed. It was very habit forming, I only took it 2 days to see the effects of it compared to those of other CNS Stims.

The positives:
-long lasting
-very talkative, easy to talk to people, easy to open up and converse about what I know.
-not very anxiety provoking at all during the dose, same with OCD.
*triggered a resurgence of a want to do things, and a resurgence of feelings from my past, resurgence of feeling alive. This mainly happened a few days after taking the Desoxyn. For a long while I've felt numb (partly I believe because of a D1 receptor antagonist in Zyprexa that I took a few years back, that zapped any feeling of life and excitement that I was having for it, my creativity and sense of aching went away.... Could be also because of other CNS stim use). Anyways its been shown that Methamphetamine with a single use can reactivate the D1 receptors.

Negatives:
-after the effective dose wears off, the Desoxyn still sticks around, made me restless and I couldn't sleep until around 14 hours after the dose. Regular generic adderall has the advantage over the Desoxyn in this respect (as the generic Adderall wears off very quick and doesn't keep me awake even 3 hours after takin a dose that can allow me to concentrate).
-the irritability was exacerbated when the dose wore off, not good. So I was much more irritable during the PM hours than I was on the generic Adderall. (though the Desoxyn was better than the brand Adderall that had more dextroamphetamine in it, the brand Adderall made me more irritable than the Desoxyn, though I can't tell you about the long-run of using Desoxyn).
-the hang-up on the Desoxyn mainly was that irregardless of the negative side effects I was still wanting to take the Desoxyn because of the way it made me feel during the dose, a bit more habit-forming as I said earlier.

Overall: a very interesting and effective result of the Desoxyn was the reawakening I had with it (that is the reawakening of past feelings, and present feelings...felt like my soul was reawakened, spiritually that is). It is one of those drugs that I'd recommend taking one day per month to reactive the receptors possibly shut down by taking meds that would antagonize such receptors (which create lethargy and apathy). The major thing to watch for is to be very conscious of the habit forming effects of this drug, as it enabled me to perform at a very high level, and thus I wanted to keep taking it, regardless of the side effects.

Sinceres.
