Thanks for the links Mattias,I have been having blood levels,yes..last one was at 0.4 mmols/L from memory. Due for another, but keep forgetting to do it..will go tomorrow. From what I have just read 0.6 - 1.0 mmols/L is a theraputic range for treatment of mania. It doesn't say anything about what the range should be for unipolar depression. I'll google it and see what I can find.
It's good to know that there is increasing evidence to suggest that lithium has neuroprotective properties, and possibly even involved in neurogenesis. That in itself makes a good argument for staying on it.
The diarrohea has settled a lot in the last month, compared to early on. So will get levels done again and get a referral to see a pdoc soon.
