If you did okay w/ritalin, you should be fine with provigil. I have taken very high doses of provigil with a very minimal effect. But, my brother has insomia problems and has been on provigal for over a year, he loves it, says it helps with lack of sleep fatigue and helps keep him cognitively sharp. I would say give it a try, if you don't like it simply quit taking it. Best wishes to you.-Monte
