I also take Wellbutrin SR 400mgm/day. I am out of the Darvocet and I have heard that it is being phased out -- taken off the market. Is this true and why ? Also, what else can I take in it's place ? Sometimes I go several days without taking any Darvocet and sometimes 1/2 tablet does the trick.

AMEN -- but I really had to beg to get the Darvocet. I was on Vicoden after my foot surgery (for about one month) and when I asked for a refill (from my orthopedic doc) all I got back was a phone call from a "medical assistant" saying that "Dr. so and so says take Advil".
Odd how when they do not want to deal with you they always have some "middle-person" return the call.
Anyway, my family doc gave me the Darvocet and seems to understand the way it helps me -- however it's hunting season in our state and the guy is a hunter -- so I am out of luck until December 4.
Thanks -- I think at least one doctor recognizes the efficacy of opiates for relief of depression.
I shall keep you posted....GH
