good morning...
thanks for the reply. I've never done well on SRRI's - they numb me out, create immediate anorgasmia and weight gain. I use the buspar as an augment for the wellbutrin. It never did anything for anxiety but seemed to have some anti-depressant effects. I take 22.5mg twice a day and it appears to affect seratonin ('I think' LOL)
I had cut some of my meds down so I'm trying to increase the doages again and see if that helps. Wellbutrin gives me some 'word finding difficulty' VERY frustrating but I'm going back up to my initial thereaputic dose and I put back a mid-day dose of 1mg of klonopin.
I would like to find something to replace the wellbutrin/buspar combo if thy HAVE in fact, pooped but I don't know what to put in their place.
Lyrica looked good until I read about the weight gain... that's one side effect bound to cancel out any good!!
tianeptine looks quite promising but having to obtain it overseas becomes a problem - both of expense and whether my pdoc will approve my using it.
As I've said, he doesn't want to think its the meds... says I need more exercise and structure... all true... but when this depressed, doing what works becomes near impossible.
I feel as if I'm fighting upstream - too much work for very little return so I am inclined to agree with you that it's time for a change... this is exhausting and depression is such an insidious hole - becomes the 'comfortable' misery (the one I know vs taking a chance on life)
"a positive sense of the future" WOW! I can't imagine what that might feel like anymore. The future looks inevitable.. and not in a 'good' way
thanks for lettine me rant. There IS a lot going on in my life exacerbating my stress but still, it IS my inability to deal with it that's killing me
any help would be appreciated
namaste,
lilithdo you know of anything else which might work in place of the wellbutrin/buspar or is there something else I could use to jumpstart the wellbutrin again?
