Parnate did squat for me, but Nardil made me a funtional, confident person. Go figure. Marplan also worked well for me the first time (1994) until the drug manufacturer (Roche) decided it didn't make them enough money and stopped making it, thanks alot. That's when I started on the SSRI highway of hell that never ended. 10 years + later I'm still looking for the right road to travel.
I definately think the MAO category, possibly dopamine enhancing drugs that others have had some success on (although not all available in the US) may be other options if necessary.
But I feel best off drugs altogether if I could only figure out how to keep from crashing after a few months. Every time I stop, a few months later it returns. I don't know if the depression is worse than the treatment. That jury is still out...SG
