I'm not sure they have identified all the things Lyrica does, but I don't believe it has been shown to act at the GABA receptor as do BZDs. It kind of squelches nerve impulses by blocking calcium influx and neurotransmitter release. My first thought is that Lyrica is not contributing to the apathy. I can't be sure, though. It is somewhat new territory, and you might have no choice but to experiment.

Maybe Wellbutrin.
