is 'melancholia' - after the Greek humor theory;
but now that we are in the decade of the brain,
maybe somehting like Neuron Disorder would be better, just as an example. It might do far more for the stigma of mental illness than any ribbon or public education effort. I think it's also more accurate to describe a brain disorder than its symptoms. Parkinson's disease is a brain disorder with motor jerk manifestations, but we don't call it "the shakes syndrome".Squiggles
