Is Topiramate a good replacement for Lamictal?

Hi

Just wondering whether anyone had tried Topiramate if/when Lamictal pooped out on them. I have been on 400mg of Lamictal for three years and it has not been working for the depression for at least a year now. I have bipolar 1 but, with a combination of Tegretol Retard and Sulpiride, have not been manic for 7 years.

Any replies/advice much appreciated!
