> I am Bipolar recently been through alot of stress. I became very aggitated and tired and sore. also ran out cold turkey od seoquel, cynbalta ( but I have been taking prozac) and adderall cold turkey.... I feel really out of it can't hardly move have no interest in anything.. anyone can give me anwers? Thanks Rainee
I think you need to get back on your medications. Stopping suddenly, ie cold turkey is not a good idea. (I tried it with Olanzapine and came unstuck.) If you want to stop a medication it is best to taper off (ie reduce gradually) under the supervision of your doctor.
You say you have no interest in anything. This could be flat affect or what they call avolition.
"Avolition is a psychological state characterized by general lack of desire, motivation, and persistence. Commonly seen in patients with schizophrenia, those suffering from avolition will not start or complete any major tasks. This differs from anhedonia, where patients generally find task completion pleasureless." It could be that one of the medications you have stopped was responsible for keeping avolition down. Now that this medication is out of your system this symptom of avolition is rearing its ugly head again. I'm BP and I also suffer from avolition.
I hope this helps you, but don't take anything I say too seriously. I am not medically trained and I have only been on this board since September 27.
I hope you manage to get back on your meds pdq (pretty damn quick).
Good luck
....Alan
