I find that the "illness" affects my social life. I also find that being on "medication" can carry a social stigma above and beyond having a "mental illness" in my personal experience. So, why not ask for some social support? "hey guys, I'm trying out a new med, and I'm really freaking out..." Because that's NOT the kind of question that I can ask my IRL friends. I wish that all of the other babblers *could* ask friends IRL, but I doubt it's so.
> On the same note i feel its unfair to me when i choose to post here and not the support board that i have to worry about being supportive or gracious, respectful is one thing, but being an exsistence of social support is another, and this is an option i believed was the case when i choose this part of the site. This IS a support board. Try to register with a new name, and you will have to take a little quiz. You must know that psychobabble is a support website. But please don't register and post with a new name now. You may be in trouble if you do that when you're blocked. Supporting another person (indeed merely INTERACTING with another person) is, by definition, a social behavior.
Internet socializing is difficult sometimes. So is real-life socializing, now that I think about it.
