amantadine is available in the US. Probably not expensive (been around for a while so available as generic,I think).

It seems to be an atypical stimulant, like Provigil (though biochemically completely different). it seems to have AD properties, or at least to synergize with AD's in animal screens (euphemism for useful torture= useful at least to the scientists getting grants).
