Yes, he does lick the bottom of his shoe and stick his hand in the toilet (when appropriate) Scott, many thanks for posting the link. Meri, actually CBT and ERP is available in the UK as it is the "best practice" endorsed by the NHS. The problem, I understand, is that the waiting time for outpt appointments can be from 6 months to 2 years depending on which Trust serves you. I frequently travel to the UK (I will be there in 2 weeks) and do some comsulting on emergency MH services. Thanks again Scott.
PS all "pure OCD" means is that there are no external behavioral rituals (compulsions) though there maybe mental rituals which are in fact behavioral compulsions (counting, etc.) I tend to just have intrusive and repetitive thoughts (obsessive) which wax and wane. My Best fca
