whoops: was on 100mg/24hr.
off all meds for 2 weeks.
yesterday had first experience of suicidal ideation for over a year. so i was lucky enough to find some hydrocodone for travel and a day or two while i restrategize.did you ever have hallucinations/paranoia/amphetamine-like psychosis as part of wdrawl/high dose?
i never exhibited significant bipolar traits until after parnate.
now i fall into the bipolar category, but seemingly as a result of meds. so the diagnosis is trickier.wdrawl/dosage adjustments were so varied. sometimes i had minor symptoms like lethargy, but these typical psychotic reactions (being tormented by a vindictive swat team) are flipping terrifying. having been such a great responder to Parnate then having psychosis as a SE is a serious bummer. The creativity is powerfully seductive, but I've gotta wise up find some alt now.
I'm thinking provigil/tianeptine or wellbutrin. Though on the big P I mixed and matched many meds over time and made sleep deprivation a lifestyle. So I can't say psychosis was a result purely of Parnate, but appears to be the primary culprit.And so the merry go round begins again.
I just don't hear about psychosis w/P so much. Over those 25 yrs were hallucinations ever part of the Parnate Picture?
Its nice to hear about peeps on meds for decades with sucess.My dilema is either to seriously constrain my use or change the coctail entirely. I'm not sure its even worth the risk.
