Effexor and diabetes

Posted by dentil on September 25, 2006, at 8:53:54

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has noticed a relationship between blood glucose levels and effexor. I take 75 mg of effexor per day and have recently been dignosed with Type 2 diabetes. I have none of the usual characteristics of the disease (obesity, high blood pressure, family history etc). I have also noticed that if I make a mistake and delay taking my effexor until the evening (instead of once in the morning) that my fasting glucose levels go way up the next morning. I also notice that the only time my glucose levels are abnormal is when I do a fasting blood level. After eating, my glucose levels always behave normally. In any event, I would love to hear if anyone has experienced a similar effect.
