Thank you for your support and advise. It has been about 3 weeks now and while I still experience the shocks, they have become less frequent. I'm guessing I have turned something of a corner but suspect I still have many to go. As for the live function issues, what sypmtoms prompted you to seek testing? I can't say I have experienced any other than the "ditzing" but I would not necessarily know what to watch for. I plan to follow up with my doctor but was curious in the mean time.
