I take 450 mg, as three 150 mg tablets at breakfast. The only additional side effects I've had as I've gone up are an extra arm growing out of the middle of my back, and...
No, seriously -- I haven't noticed any additional side effects at all. There was a short period of headaches right at first, but I was taking several other drugs, too, at the same time and my doctor said it was from all of them, not the WB. Anyway, they went away after a short time.
I've taken a lot of different drugs, in different classes, and WB has been the best in terms of tolerablity. I feel much less "drugged" on it than on anything else, ever. And there's no problem taking the 2 150s, unless you prefer taking the one 300 mg. Machts nichts. I get the three 150s, because otherwise I'd have to buy two different prescriptions -- a 300 mg and a 150 mg -- with two copays, so it's just cheaper/more convenient for me to take three 150s.
Hope that helps. I know it's horrible and scary to start a new drug, and to go up on a dose. WB really has been friendly to me, though, in that way. Easy to go up, easy to go down, just an easy, friendly drug.
Good luck with it!
