tegretol questions

First- I'm going up to 1200 mg tomorrow from 800 mg. I've noticed no change in my cycling or a decrease in mania. Should I have noticed something by now? Will I notice a change if I don't at 1200 but my doctor takes me up to 1600 mg?
Second- I'm getting more delusional. Could that possibly be from the tegretol and if not will the tegretol help with that or will I require an antipsychotic if I can't keep myself... together.
