meds and weight loss

Posted by snapper on August 21, 2006, at 1:00:38

Is it really possible to to lose weight when on AD's and tri-leptal...plus a smidge of valium. I have been very inactive for years but I am going to try the excercise thing but I am discouraged by the fact that from everything I have ever read or heard that it is not possible. I am of couse dedicated to trying a program if I can really drop some lbs if I get into a reg schedule of normal sleep exc. and eating decent. I am BP II atyp. and know that the odds are not good . At least I am not on Paxil. Zyprxa. or one of the really bad psych med offenders to weight. I have just become so apathetic from fighting this MI crap that I know It has compounded my anxiety and depression states. Just looking for some input. I do not binge but I am fighting some hypoglycemic issues and I feel double bad if I do not eat 4 to 5 times a day. I also do not just run for total junk. How much does anyone with real experience with atyp type depression symptoms( eating and or over eating) really know about being able to drop the lbs. I know it would improve my whole deal...even if it did'nt cure me. It is hard to start and keep it up....let alone have any hope for any long lasting change in weight!
Thanks
Snapper
