> what is the minimum amount of time i have to wait before switching from emsam to parnate? i have ten days before i go off to college and i'm hoping i can get started on the parnate quickly and get some kind of effect from it, as the emsam was anxiogenic to me. i need something to quell my social anxiety for those first few weeks at school that are pure socializing :\\\

Conventional prescribing guidelines say two weeks between MAOIs. Parnate is the worst one as far as setting off hypertensive crises, so it might be prudent to follow this. As far as the dosage, 40 mg/day of Parnate is the minimum dosage that should be attained before declaring the trial a failure. That's not to say you might not respond to a lower dose, but you would not be giving the trial a fair shot if you did not get up to at least 40 mg/day at some point.Todd
